**** Core 7 Base Elements and Core 7 Reef Supplements are now replaced with Core 7 Flex Base Elements and Core 7 Flex Reef Supplements. For existing users, the same world-renowned four-part TRITON Method dosing recipe remains the same, but with some important twists. With Core 7 Flex, four-part can be combined and reduced down to three-part or even two-part dosing recipes for the same great holistic Triton Method while saving on dosing container space in the cabinet and freeing up auto-dosing heads.
4x4 Bulk Kit Includes:
1L Dry Mix Core7 Base Elements 1
1L Dry Mix Core7 Base Elements 2
1L Dry Mix Core7 Base Elements 3A
1L Dry Mix Core7 Base Elements 3B
Mixing Instructions:
Using any 4-Liter (1-Gallon) container, fill the container halfway with RO/DI water and slowly add the entire contents of Core7 Base Elements 1 to the container. It is suggested to stir or mix the water while the dry powder is being added to help it dissolve faster. After the entire contents of Component 1 have been added, top the jug off with RO/DI water, give it a quick shake, and let it sit until the solution becomes fully dissolved.
Repeat the instructions above with separate containers for each component.
Triton Core7 Base Elements is an ionically balanced, super concentrated dosing system for reef aquariums of all kinds and have been specifically developed for the Triton Method of reefing. The Triton Method utilizes accurate ICP-OES testing to analyze what elements are in your tank and their concentrations along with specific filtration requirements like sumps and large refugium. With ICP-OES testing Triton has been able to monitor what elements are consumed during coral growth and metabolic functions. Taking that data they have developed their ultra-pure line of Core7 Base Elements, that include all major and minor trace elements that your corals are going to need.
Dosing Core7 Base Elements
We highly suggest using Triton ICP-OES testing to establish a baseline, and for dosing recommendations. Prior to dosing your aquarium´s alkalinity should be adjusted to 8 dKH. As a baseline starting dose, Triton recommends 2mL of each component every day per 26 gallons of system water volume. Alkalinity testing should be done on a daily basis for the first couple weeks so that consumption can be adjusted for accordingly. It is recommended not to exceed 2mL per 26 gallons of system water volume per dose, and if more solution is required then multiple doses per day can be administered.
- Core7 Base Elements uses a 1:1 ratio - for every 1mL of Part 1 you use, you should be using 1mL of Part 2, Part 3A, & Part 3B.
- Periodic testing with Triton Labs is highly encouraged to help fine tune your water chemistry.
- Dosing in smaller tanks can be done by diluting each bottle with RO/DI water but we do recommend using the standard Base Elements Additives since they are diluted and easier to distribute to smaller aquariums.
